Here is how to do it from the comfort of your urban home. Custom Grazing is the term for when an animal owner pays a service fee for someone else to raise the animals on their farm.

For example, you buy some cows and pay me to practice regenerative agriculture, resoring lease land, giving you lambs back every year as a return on your investment (ROI).

Once your herd has 3 cows, you are elegible to become a member of the BC Cattlemen’s Association representing regenerative ranchers.

- $1.50 per day Custom Grazing fee for management by Glassen Farms ($45/mo, $540/yr)

- $200 Annually for Hay & Minerals (paid in Sept)

- In May your Cow gives birth to a baby

- Babies graze free until New Years weaning time

-Your ROI comes either in stock splitting when a female calf is born - a Heifer, she can be bred and give a calf left on her second birthday. Otherwise earn dividends with Bull Calves born for their meat value (you can also sell heifer calves at weaning for breeding or the meat program)

-Stock splitting when a female Heifer Calf is born, growing your herd to breed again in the future.Earn dividends when a Bull Calf is born, meat value

-Sell heifer or Bull calves to Glassen Farms Meat program for $1,125 (12% profit on single birth)

-Pay service fees to finish animals for your freezer $4,600 Value

-After two years you either have more cows from your growing herd or they are harvested into the meat program

-If a cow doesn’t breed back, we cull her for meat value and then purchase a replacement heifer
